First up on our fun-focused agenda, we have a classic craft that is super charming and easy to execute. Read on to learn how to make mini DIY pumpkin place cards for your next holiday gathering.
SUPPLIES:
-
Cutting mat
-
Mini pumpkins or gourds
-
Decorative paper (we used marbled paper)
-
Vellum paper
-
String or twine
-
Exacto knife
-
Hole punch
-
Pen or marker
-
Scissors
-
T-square or ruler
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut Decorative Paper
Cut the decorative paper into rectangles using an Exacto knife and ruler. Our finished rectangles measured around 2.5"x1.5" each.
2. Cut Vellum Paper
Cut the vellum paper into rectangles slightly smaller than the decorative paper using an Exacto knife and ruler. We measured and cut 2"x1" rectangles.
3. Write Names
Write names on vellum paper or leave them blank for guests to write in when they arrive.
4. Punch a Hole
Center the vellum paper on the decorative paper and punch a hole through both layers to the left of the name. We used a small hole punch, but you could also poke a hole with a needle or pin.
5. Attach the Name Card
Thread string or twine through the hole and tie the ends to make a loop. Then, attach the loop to the stem of the pumpkin or gourd to hang.
