Styled 3 Ways: The Joe Task Lamp
Inspired by 1970s utilitarian designs, this spring we welcomed the Joe Task Lamp, the newest and arguably most versatile member of our plug-in lighting family. Assembled by hand in our Portland factory, this timeless task lamp was designed with a slim profile to fit in anywhere and includes an articulated shade to easily shine light on the task at hand. The perfect embodiment of function and form, we couldn’t be more excited to see Joe shine in the wild. Below, we asked three friends of Schoolhouse to pick their favorite color and share how they styled it in their spaces.
Illustrator and graphic designer, Amanda Jane Jones, selected the Joe Lamp in Tangerine to add a fun jolt of color in her son's room.
“I chose to put it in my 6 year old's room — he loves that it can be used for drawing at his desk and also for making epic shadow puppet shows. I love the pop of color it brings to the room! The perfect amount of whimsy and functionality."
Schoolhouse friend, Alex Creswell, picked the Shell White Joe Lamp for a neutral, laid-back aesthetic in her work-from-home office.
“I love how unique the Joe Task Lamp is! It's a great mix between vintage and modern, elevated and functional. Certainly checks all the boxes for me.”
Interior expert Stef Turner, was drawn to the Joe Lamp in Spruce Green for her cozy, nature-inspired bedroom.
“The Joe lamp became a favorite the moment I laid eyes on it. It’s sleek and one-of-kind, but timeless at the same time! It makes a statement in every room it enters, which is why I find myself moving it all over our house."
