Schoolhouse Staff Picks: Our Fall '19 Favorites
Last week, we celebrated our long-awaited Fall launch – a culmination of many months of hard work across all of our teams at the Schoolhouse factory and headquarters. While we couldn’t be more thrilled for our latest collection, at the heart of each launch is a sense of gratitude for what we’re able to accomplish together, as one team under one roof.
From product to assembly, shipping, engineering and customer support, we have so many hard-working, talented and dedicated people that come to work and bring their best day in and day out. And it truly takes everyone showing up each day, putting their skill, energy and time into the task of creating new products. So, as a celebration for the many hands that work together to make this all happen, we thought we would share some of our Schoolhouse staff favorites from the season.
Luna 10"
“The Luna has always been my favorite and a favorite for our trade customers. Extending the Luna Collection benefits all of our partners who work in the lighting industry, and it feels natural for us to expand on a Schoolhouse icon.”
– Josh, Manager of Customer Relations
Metal Wire Shelf
“My favorite product from the Fall ’19 collection is the Metal Wire Shelf because it has a lot of functionality no matter where you put it! It goes great in any room and provides not only a great design but also great practicality.”
– Jensyn, New Product Introduction Manager
Iris Lamp
“The Iris, with its elevated LED porcelain Tala bulb, is my fall pick. It was inspiring to watch our talented development team take their time to iterate on this product from a loose concept through to a tight and differentiated fixture. I love the innovative mix of materials and colors as well as the balance of playful and functional - all such considered attributes for a future heirloom.”
– Sara, President
Louise Sconce
“My favorite from the Fall season is the Louise Sconce. I love her simplicity, elegance, and versatility. The design took inspiration from 19th-century wall mounted candelabra’s, but we stripped away all the ornamentation to celebrate the gestural form and elevate the small details. This allows Louise to work with a range of styles and locations in the home.”
– Katie, Manager of Product
Amber Glass Mug
“The Amber Glass Mug reminds me of a Saturday morning playing chess with my grandpa. They’re the kind of mugs that seem to hold memories.”
– Austin, Supply Planner
